This hardly justifies being its own post but I just needed a container for my photos on how to install Tasmota on Sonoff S26 R2 smart plugs. For a more extensive discussion about installing Tasmota onto smart plugs please see my post about the Ledvance plug.

Contrary to the Ledvance plug, the Sonoff S26 R2 is powered by an ESP8285. Therefore, there is no need to replace the microcontroller / WiFi module in order to install Tasmota. Also, opening the Sonoff plug is dead simple. The two plastic parts are held together with three standard Philips screws. Thank you Sonoff!
